The main construction contents include 20.47 kilometers of the main line of the bridge project and 2.56 kilometers of the subgrade project. "Since March, 1500 cubic meters of concrete has been poured every day. At the construction site of the north approach bridge of Longtan Yangtze River Bridge, the sound of machinery and metal instruments is endless. On the river surface, the cable-crossing crane effectively lifted the steel box beam to the sling position, and the hoisting construction of the main bridge steel beam proceeded smoothly, making a step-by-step progress towards the completion goal this year.

"Hanging beam is a key link in the construction of the superstructure of the bridge, which requires precise construction monitoring and skilled operation cooperation." Hu Yao, on-site commander of the Longtan Yangtze River Bridge Construction Command of the Provincial Communications and Construction Bureau, said that now everyone is working hard to catch up with the construction period and progress on the premise of ensuring safety and quality. At present, the north approach bridge of Longtan Yangtze River Bridge is undergoing steel beam welding and bridge deck erection, and the south approach bridge is undergoing ancillary works installation. The main bridge has entered the second stage of steel box girder hoisting, and the bridge closure is expected to be realized in April.
