Journalist’s Day: Let the world be a better place with the pen in your hand.

China Net News November 8 (Reporter Shang Yang) Today is the 17th China Journalists’ Day, and it is also a year since I got the online media journalist’s card. Since November 2015, I have become the first batch of journalists to obtain the online media journalist’s card. We are honored, because it means that the title of "reporter" is more justified, and at the same time, it urges online media reporters to be more professional, more attentive and more down-to-earth in writing every report.
Looking back on 2016, I personally gained a lot, from the railway station in Spring Festival travel rush, the police duty room on New Year’s Eve to the Asia Forum in Boao; Whether it is the Armed Police Hospital in the "Wei Zexi" incident or the old revolutionary base area in Jiangxi on the Long March … … I was there, and I went to the news scene again and again, which made me feel more deeply that only by going to the scene can I write fresh and grounded news.
Different "Beauty" Found in Boao Forum
In the Boao Forum for Asia in 2016, as one of the frontline reporters of China Network, I worked with thousands of media reporters from all over the world for many days.
I know that in this large-scale activity, journalists from various media are both comrades-in-arms and competitors. We should not only compare the timeliness of news, but also have the eyes to find different "news". Because there are many sub-forums every day during the Boao Forum, they are held at the same time, and most forums need to register in advance before they can enter the venue to report.
Therefore, it is very important for journalists to do a good job of "Raiders" in advance. What kind of guests are there, what is the topic, what is the news point that journalists want to get, and how to do it differently from other media reports. For this "uniqueness", I made a series of plans in advance.
From the day before the opening of the forum, I went to the registration room and Boao News Center to learn about the behind-the-scenes stories, and wrote many articles, such as Boao Forum for Asia: On behalf of journalists, reporting to volunteers to solve problems enthusiastically, and The completion of Boao Forum for Asia News Center looks like a seagull, which means Asia takes off. All the articles were forwarded by the whole network.
In addition, I also reported from different angles in a face-to-face forum of the mayor, and wrote the manuscript "Leaders of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei gathered in Boao to discuss the plan of" treating haze ",which was reprinted by nearly 100 media. At the same time, I was the only reporter in the whole network who reported the news point. In addition, Hangzhou Municipal Party Committee Secretary: Preparations for the G20 Summit were basically ready at the end of June, and Ma Yun attended the Boao Forum for Asia and delivered a speech, and Yao Ming listened to it live.
This interview report has given me a lot of experience, and I must have super news sensitivity in the report, so that I can write works with wide communication.

The limitation of emergencies determines success or failure.
As a reporter of China News Center, he not only needs to write articles on policy direction in daily life, but also needs to keep up with hot news at all times and find a breakthrough at the first time. At the same time, the timeliness of reporting the same event has become a magic weapon for the strength of communication.
This year, the "Wei Zexi incident" became the focus of the whole people’s attention. After the incident, many media reporters rushed to the Armed Police General Hospital for interviews, which benefited me a lot.
Usually, after hot events happen, journalists will dig deeply, and this kind of news point is also eagerly released by various media. This time, a famous paper media and several reporters in front cooperated very tacitly. When I was interviewing other interviewees, this media had already grabbed the news point for the first time, and it spread very fast and widely. This experience made me understand that timeliness is "king" in hot news, which also helped me to track hot news in the future.
After the end of the last subject of the college entrance examination this year, many media rushed to report the news of Guan Xiaotong, a star candidate. I knew the key to the timeliness of hot news, so when I interviewed Guan Xiaotong, I promptly sent back photos and manuscripts such as "National Daughter Guan Xiaotong’s crew waiting in armor for the college entrance examination" and "National Daughter Guan Xiaotong walked out of the examination room with a relaxed face and signed for fans". China became the first media in the whole network to publish Guan Xiaotong’s successful college entrance examination.
The reports of these hot events have made me always pay attention to the timeliness of news when tracking hot events in the future, so as to write a manuscript with high communication strength.

In 2016, China Net reporter Shang Yang interviewed local villagers in Jiangxi Station, a large-scale interview activity of "Running towards a Well-off Society on the Long March" online media.
Re-taking the Long March and Spiritual Cultivation
August 21st — On the 27th, I had the honor to participate in the large-scale interview activity of "Running towards a Well-off Society on the Long March" organized by the Network Information Office. Going back to the old revolutionary base area in Jiangxi is a spiritual cultivation for me personally.
In seven days, I measured the snowy mountains and grasslands that the Red Army walked through, witnessed the gratifying achievements of running towards a well-off society on the Long March with my eyes, and showed the world the earth-shaking changes in the old revolutionary base areas with my pen and camera & HELIP; …
Along the way, I heard many touching stories, and I saw the changes in the old district with my own eyes. The villagers bid farewell to the days when they lived in rough houses. Rows of small two-story buildings were arranged at random, and the people lived in clean and spacious affordable housing. I am deeply impressed by the method of getting rid of poverty with the times, as if fresh news materials are "waving" to me.
Although the interview ends late every day, I often write articles until 3 or 4 o’clock in the morning, but I am immersed in it. Many articles written by me, such as "Online Media Going to Change: Farewell to Poverty in the Old Revolutionary Areas and Glowing with New Glory" and "Online Media Going to Change: Photovoltaic Power Generation in Yudu County Helps 130,000 People Get Out of Poverty", have also been recognized and forwarded by the whole network.
I think news can be written vividly because it is close to the interviewees, not only to listen to their stories, but also to their lives. A manuscript with "earthy fragrance" will become a favorite manuscript for readers.
This time, taking the road of the Long March again not only makes my own articles more "earthy", but also cultivates my mind, and understands that history should not only be displayed, but the spirit should be passed down from generation to generation.
Looking back on 2016, I have experienced a lot and grown a lot. Although I have been engaged in journalism for more than four years and have obtained a press card for one year, I am still a "primary school student" in this industry. In the future, I will always inspire myself, don’t live up to the name of reporter, and make the world a better place with my pen!
