Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, January 21st (Reporter Liu Hongxia) On the 21st, the General Administration of Customs released ten typical cases of cracking down on smuggling in 2020, involving "foreign garbage", ivory and other endangered species and their products, guns and drugs, refined oil and many other aspects. According to statistics, the Customs has filed a total of 4,061 cases of smuggling crimes, including 2,322 tax-related cases with a case value of 92.73 billion yuan. There were 1739 non-tax-related cases.
1. Tianjin Customs Anti-smuggling Bureau investigated the "Mission 2003" waste smuggling case.
On May 28th, 2020, the Anti-smuggling Bureau of Tianjin Customs dispatched 50 police officers in the first round of the "Blue Sky 2020" special action of the General Administration of Customs to carry out the centralized arrest operation of the "Mission 2003" waste smuggling case, arrested 3 suspects and seized 498,000 tons of solid waste prohibited by the state. After investigation, from November 2019 to April 2020, the criminal suspects smuggled a large number of waste slag into the country by means of false reporting for profit.
Two, Nanning Customs Anti-smuggling Bureau to investigate the "Guardian 2020" series of cases to combat the smuggling of live pangolins.
From October 12 to November 25, 2020, the Anti-smuggling Bureau of Nanning Customs, together with the Public Security Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Public Security Bureau of Nanning, launched a special campaign to crack down on smuggling pangolins. Five smuggling criminal gangs were destroyed, 18 suspects were arrested, 58 live pangolins, 22 frozen bodies and 125.3 kilograms of scales were seized, and 23 smuggled pangolins were verified. After investigation, the smuggling gangs ordered live pangolins and pangolin scales abroad, smuggled them into the country through non-customs places in China and Vietnam, and then transported them to Guangdong, Guangxi and other places for sale and profit through cars.
3. The Anti-smuggling Bureau of Jiangmen Customs investigated the case of "SY730" smuggling gelatin of grouper.
On August 2, 2020, the Anti-smuggling Bureau of Jiangmen Customs, with the cooperation of local public security organs, launched the "SY730" campaign to crack down on the smuggling of gelatin from rockfish, dispatched 50 police officers, carried out investigations and arrests in Jiangmen, Shenzhen, Maoming and other places in Guangdong, arrested 6 suspects, destroyed 2 smuggling criminal gangs, and seized 288 gelatin from rockfish suspected of smuggling on the spot. In the whole case, 3,602 pieces of gelatin were smuggled, with a case value of about 300 million yuan. After investigation, the smuggling gangs purchased the gelatin from overseas, shipped it to Hong Kong or Vietnam, and then smuggled it into the country by express delivery or non-customs smuggling on the Sino-Vietnamese border.
Four, Fuzhou Customs Anti-smuggling Bureau "stop -06" land and sea joint action to crack down on refined oil smuggling.
On September 17th, 2020, Fuzhou Customs Anti-smuggling Bureau and Fujian Marine Police Bureau, with the cooperation of Xiamen, Chengdu, Wuhan Customs Anti-smuggling Bureau and Fuzhou Public Security Bureau, launched the "Stop -06" land-sea joint action to crack down on refined oil smuggling, dispatched more than 200 police officers, arrested 43 suspects, seized one oil depot involved, seized 7 ships involved, and was suspected of smuggling about 600 tons of refined oil. The case was worth about 1.3 billion yuan, and it was verified that the smuggled imported refined oil involved was about 250,000 tons. After investigation, the smuggling gangs involved smuggled the refined oil into the country by sea smuggling and sold it to Fujian, Zhejiang and other places in China.
Five, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Nanjing and other customs anti-smuggling bureaus investigated the "8.04" crackdown on diamond smuggling.
On September 1, 2020, 10 anti-smuggling bureaus directly under the Customs, including Shenzhen, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Beijing, Harbin, Nanjing, Xiamen, Wuhan, Guangzhou and Chengdu, with the support and cooperation of public security organs in many places, launched the "8.04" centralized anti-diamond smuggling operation in more than 20 cities, including Shenzhen, Shanghai and Hangzhou, and dispatched more than 1,000 police officers and arrested 1 suspect. After investigation, from May 2019 to the incident, a cross-border e-commerce platform company in Wuhan falsely reported cosmetics, milk powder, red wine and other goods imported by general trade as cross-border e-commerce, and substantially understated the price of goods.
Seven, Guangzhou Customs Anti-smuggling Bureau to investigate the "Fighting 33" smuggling gun case.
On October 22, 2020, the Anti-smuggling Bureau of Guangzhou Customs launched the "Fighting 33" special campaign to crack down on gun smuggling, dispatched 20 police officers, carried out unified investigation and arrest operations in Guangzhou, Quanzhou and other places, arrested 3 suspects and seized 21 pneumatic guns on the spot. After investigation, from July 2020 to the time of the crime, the criminal suspect commissioned a purchasing agent to buy pneumatic guns in Hong Kong, then dismantled the guns and hid them in food packaging, and smuggled them into the country in batches through postal channels.
Eight, Qingdao Customs Anti-smuggling Bureau to investigate the "6.11" smuggling of drugs.
On June 11th, 2020, the Anti-smuggling Bureau of Qingdao Customs filed a case to investigate the "6.11" smuggling of drug-making articles, arrested three suspects and seized 12 tons of smuggled acetic anhydride. After investigation, the criminal suspect, in collaboration with overseas personnel, illegally purchased acetic anhydride, the second kind of precursor chemical controlled by the state, and then falsely reported it to the customs for smuggling under the names of wall coating and coating thinner.
Nine, Gongbei, Nanning, Kunming and other customs anti-smuggling bureaus "903" to crack down on fruit smuggling in border trade channels and collect the net.

After customs clearance, they transported the smuggled goods to Dongguan, Taizhou and other places for sale.
