  According to the provisions of Article 27 of the Organic Law of Local People’s Congresses and Local People’s Governments at All Levels in People’s Republic of China (PRC), the 40th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 16th Tianjin Municipal People’s Congress decided to accept Wang Dongfeng’s request to resign as mayor of Tianjin due to job transfer and report it to the first meeting of the 17th Tianjin Municipal People’s Congress for the record.

  Wang Dongfeng, male, Han nationality, born in February 1958 in Xi ‘an, Shaanxi Province, joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in December 1980, and joined the work in July 1981. He graduated from Xi ‘an Jiaotong University with a postgraduate degree, a master’s degree in economics, and a senior economist.
