Who will Changan’s new wet dual clutch gearbox replace？

　　[Gearbox Technology] Recently, we learned thAT the car is about to launch a brand-new wet type, which will be mounted on the upcoming brand-new model CS85. This is the fourth model of Changan Automobile on five SUV models, and the strategy of using dual-clutch gearboxes at low levels and AT automatic gearboxes at high levels will probably change. So what role will this brand-new dual-clutch gearbox play in Changan’s SUV product line?

　　It is reported that this gearbox is the first self-developed dual-clutch gearbox of Changan Automobile. We still don’t know the specific gear number and internal structure, but as one of the core components of the dual gearbox, the dual-clutch module adopts the products provided by Borg Warner.

-Future layout of Changan SUV models

　　As another brand-new SUV model of Changan Automobile, the positioning of CS85 should be between CS75 and CS95, and it is expected to be one. Since then, Changan’s SUV series will cover all mainstream SUV markets from small to medium and large. So after being mounted on CS85, which models will this brand-new wet dual-clutch gearbox be mounted on?

　　AT present, in the product line of Changan SUV, CS75 and CS95 both use 6-speed AT automatic gearbox, and CS35 uses 4-speed AT automatic gearbox, but it is reported that the modified CS35 will be replaced with 6-speed AT automatic gearbox, while the smallest CS15 uses 5-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

　　Since Changan has a 5-speed dual-clutch gearbox, we guess that this brand-new dual-clutch gearbox of Changan should be a 6-speed or 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox. After being installed on CS85, it will be used on CS95 and CS75 one after another to replace the current 6-speed AT automatic gearbox.
